Originally from Apulia, Emiliano by adoption Franco Nero is undoubtedly the best-known contemporary Italian actor in the world. Recovering from a special season between several films starring just about everywhere (including ‘The Jester from Transylvania’ and the recent ‘Happy Days’) Nero recently offered a directorial effort in Italy starring the controversial Oscar winner Kevin Spacey’s “The Pope’s Exorcist.” Husband in love with the equally legendary Vanessa Redgrave, father of Charles Gabriel, silent aid worker the great actor and director is in Hollywood history for being cast by John Huston in “Camelot “and then for so many extraordinary performances starting with “Django” that inspired Oscar director Quentin Tarantino a remake made history with Jamie Foxx, Leonardo Di Caprio and Christopher Waltz).
